This Proud Peacock Handbag has found its forever home. We wanted to park it in the gallery though so you could see some other design options available for custom orders.
Peacock feathers and rainbow colours - two of my favourite things!
This deceptively simple handbag is vibrantly showcased by the rainbow-coloured peacock feather fabric. The colours almost appear to be glowing against the black vinyl & fabric handles and the cheerful black lining with abstract rainbow dots. The rainbow zipper closure and purse feet continue the colour story.
On the front the handbag, the seams were painstakingly pieced with careful pattern matching to camouflage the small slip pocket. On the interior, there is a zipper pocket and a divided slip pocket, both of which are highlighted by an unexpected pop of orange. And with minimal hardware, the bag feels quite light.
The handbag has a wide base so you can fit most anything in - but don't! It's handcrafted and not meant for heavy loads.
This is a handbag and does not come with a crossbody or shoulder strap.
Details:
Fabrics: 100% cotton and vinyl, as well as various interfacings and stabilizers for structure. Fabric has been lightly sprayed with Scotchgard.
Approx. 9" tall, 11.5" wide, 5" deep.

Care:
Spot clean only – use very gentle detergent and a soft cloth; do not put in washing machine or dryer. CAUTION: If you choose to use an iron to remove any creases from the cotton, be very careful to not touch the vinyl pieces as heat will damage it. To maintain shape when not in use, stuff the bag with tissue paper. Expect normal wear and tear with use, especially on corners.
