Cat's Meow Sling Bag

Regular price $129.99 CAD Sale

Eek, it's so cute! Totally digging my Cat's Meow Sling Bag!

This one of a kind, soft-sided sling bag can be worn across the body (on your front or back) via the adjustable** strap that connects to the left or right edge, depending on your preference, keeping your hands free. It's just the right size for the essentials when you're running errands or hanging out with friends.

Featuring one of my favourite fabric designers, Tula Pink's Tabby Road Deja Vu fabric line - all of the prints are whimsical and colourful and bring a smile to your face.  The pop of deep pink Portuguese cork adds a great contrast. The adorable kitten print fabric on the front flap was painstakingly 'fussy cut' to align with the fabric on the pocket. The lilac zipper and webbing coordinate beautifully with the main Club Kitty print

The bag has a double pull zip closure and there is a small zipper pocket in the interior of the bag.  The interior of the bag is finished with binding.

** For the adjustable strap, I switched to a standard size slider because the 'wide mouth' slider was too loose. The standard slider has the correct resistance on the strap; please see the 3rd image for a picture of the new slider.

This handmade artisan handbag is an original handcrafted just.a.tad accessories, one-of-a-kind design.

Care:
Spot clean only – use very gentle detergent and a soft cloth (test in an inconspicuous area first); do not put in washing machine or dryer. CAUTION: If you choose to use an iron to remove any creases from the cotton, be very careful to not touch the cork, zipper or webbing directly with the iron - it is recommended you use a pressing cloth to protect the materials. To maintain shape when not in use, stuff the bag with tissue paper.

Information about Cork Fabric:
The cork fabric used on this bag is imported from Portugal and is real cork fused to a soft, flexible cotton woven fabric backing. Per the importer: this cork is a natural, sustainable, vegan, PETA approved, eco friendly product from Portugal.  It is Touch Pro and upholstery grade quality. It has been treated with Scotchgard, UV and abrasion protectants. It can be wiped clean with a soft cloth and a weak soapy solution.

Important Notes about Cork Fabric:

  • Because of the nature of cork, coming from a natural wood source, the surface is pitted with small holes and cracks. This is part of the appearance and natural quality.
  • When folded, cork can sometimes have small superficial cracks that do not go through the fabric backing and do not affect the structural integrity of the project.
  • Dark and bright colored dyes can sometimes rub or wear off on sharp corners, such as boxed corners at the bottom of bags or folded edges.
  • You cannot iron cork as the heat will damage the glues used in making the cork fabric.

Expect normal wear and tear with use, especially on corners.
